Stinger Heigh10 = Awesome

So I have had the Stinger Off Road Heigh 10 installed for a few months now, and I must say t is awesome! I know its hard to justify the $$ (its not the cheapest but not the most expensive). I turned the auto stop off, got built in navigation (my phone had no cell service in the Ocala forest where I ride so the phone apps did not work). Retains all factory controls and can modify lights/lock plus a ton more options. Looking for info was difficult until I began researching this Forum (And is my 1st forum post).

This might be reviving a slightly dead thread but I recently went to a store that has it in stock for $850 plus free install but the two demo units they had were incredibly laggy. Like 5-10 seconds to change to another screen or for volume changes. Now they are on 24/7 so that could be the issue but it didn't seem like a great product in store.

that’s an absolute steal of a price! Watch the videos of the install, it takes a pro a couple hours to do it and set it up properly I don’t know how a shop could offer that deal but where is it I have other cars. I never had lag issues but they did release a firmware update recently. I don’t work for stinger and I dont like the looks of this radio in other vehicles (the ram 1500 kit for example). I have had an random issue with the camera but it seems to just be a connection problem that’s getting fixed.

just installed mine, a bit disappointed how Android auto looks (pixelated) , and how you need to have the parking brake engaged, just to view HDMI content. Reverse camera has a delay. But way better than the stock 5" radio.

I'm sure there is a bypass out there you can wire to get away from the parking break issue. I've used them in the past with no issues.

Parking brake is almost certainly just a ground wire. Run that to ground to solve the problem.

Just wish this had a weather rating, i like to leave the top of in the summer and would hate to fry a 1500 radio

Looks good Ramiro! Android Auto resolution is a limitation of Android Auto itself. However, Android Auto has been making a lot of improvements recently. Shoot me a message about using your HDMI.

So it’s been 2 years, I had one issue with the backup camera and stinger resolved it. No issues since. Still love it and I’ve expanded my system adding 3 cameras

I can go to my camera screen and have my front or rear, or left or right stay on as long as I want

Cool. Do you have factory rear camera? Mine only stay on up to 10-15 mph then go black. Trying to determine if it's due to an older Stinger Heigh 10 bought in early 2021 (hardware version on original box 1.1.3.2) or if it's something with my truck...
