Helps having the adjustable air suspension.
Absolutely. It can be low to the ground like a "real Porsche", except four doors and the engine is on the wrong side. Or it can go to about stock jeep height, maybe a little taller.

What's impressive, is the old guy in the old Crown Vic.

When you watch the whole video on You Tube, he does have a spotter. The Traction Control does a great job at keeping the tires turning on the rocks.

The biggest problem he had offroad, was the lack of ground clearance, about a 2 inch lift on it he would have been miles better.

I lived in Moab, UT in '94-'95. I was fresh out of high school. My best friend was Lehi O. He had a 1974 Pontiac Ventura 4 door. We took that CAR down virtually every trail in or around Moab including the Lion's Back and Pritchett Canyon. The only thing we couldn't get it up was Potato Salad Hill, although we did make it down it. The car took a fair amount of body damage and we had to use four handyman jacks, but we did it. There are pictures somewhere. I know Shannon Farabee stole a Jeep more than one time from her dad's rental company to help drag us out and some dude name Jick almost rolled his Toyota helping us once.

I found Hell's Gate to be pretty entry level. Last Spring was my very first trip to Moab for EJS, did Hell's Gate with my swaybar still connected, no spotter, no lockers, piece of cake. Looks significantly harder than it is. I encourage everyone to give it a go!

Photo from that river lookout area off to the side. :like:

Confidence ….confidence ….confidence and tire placement is key. Curious to know if they had a spotter.

Nice job indeed. Always a fun ride.

Hell's Gate is on my To-Do list.
BUT, your picture scares me. I am afraid of heights, just big heights like anything over the second step on a ladder.

Pictures can be a bit intimidating. While this may not be the most difficult climb, it does require exact tire placement. A gooooooooood spotter that you trust and knows lines is a must.

Slow and steady and precision are the winners here.

As you, it was in my to-do list and I had similar feelings but conquered it. So much so, I went right back around for another run to get some better pictures.

Enjoy it. Just take your time.
