Strange Keyless Issues

Morning-

‘22 Mojave here. In the last month we started having strange keyless issues, regardless of either fob.

Here’s what happens, keyless works, but then the truck keeps trying to unlock repeatedly until you start. Same when leaving the vehicle. As you get out, it just starts unlocking as if someone is hitting the button.

I also noticed that at all times near the vehicle, the red LED is flashing rapidly constantly like the truck is constantly sending a signal or like I’m holding the buttons down. Not the normal occasional blink, and both fobs do it. Also new batteries in both.

Other issue is that every few starts, we get the key fob not detected.

It’s been at the dealer twice now, most recently yesterday for a new RF hub, but got home and it’s still doing it with no improvement.

Any guesses on this electrical gremlin before I take it back to the dealer for the third time this month lol

It def sounds like a button is stuck on the fob. It might be stuck on the inside (where you can't see/tell).

I would take my fob apart and clean it.

The only strange thing that makes all the above mute... is if both fobs are doing it. Make sure they are well separated to test this.

if you've had the doors off bent pins on the connectors are a pretty common issue and they can cause all kinds of weirdness.

My wife’s 22 JLU started doing the exact same thing after I changed both fob batteries. I still haven’t found out why.

Thank you! I hadn’t thought about that yet. Just the batteries in them. I’ll give it a shot today!

I hear ya but it also unlocks as I walk away when I don’t want it to. Of course I can just lock it again when I’m far enough away. But there has been times I didn’t hear it unlock.

Ok so not sure what happened. I took the jeep to fill it up tonight, and held the fob close to the door handle, and it was all normal. The red light wasn’t blinking or anything. If I touched the handle it unlocked as per usual, and even if I touched my finger to the outside of the handle it would unlock. But it’s not trying to unlock all the time. At least not tonight. I did not try the other fob yet.
It’s been about 3 weeks since I changed batteries, so maybe over time it corrected itself? Stranger things have happened!!
I’ll reply back when I try the other fob. But at least it gives you some hope that it will fix itself.

Any improvement in yours? I got mine back Friday. They replaced fob and reprogrammed everything. Then Monday it started happening again with a vengeance. Repeatedly unlocking itself, key fob not detected, etc. Still doesn’t matter if one fob vs the other or even both on me at once. So, back to the dealer for the 4th time today. I don’t think I’ve had the truck in my possession for a solid week of February.

I have one key fob where the buttons work fine, but the touch-handle to unlock doesn't work and when inside, it only says "Key fob not detected" if you try to start the truck. Tried changing the battery.. no dice. The other key fob doesn't do this and works fine. Seems like either an issue with my key fob or the pairing between them.

Eh, yes and no. We replaced everything associated with the keyless system. Last was a new door handle. I thought that solved the issue but that lasted like 2 months and now again it sporadically does it. Even the dealership was out of ideas. At this point I’m a few months into the lemon process and waiting to see what happens. I have a year left on the lease still, so hoping Chrysler makes right with some sort of offer.
