Hello folks, Just wondering is any of you guys have tried the Cravenspeed Stubby Antenna? My factory antenna is a little bent (probably from car washes) and doesn't look that great anyway. I have been looking around at the stubby antennas. I see mixed reviews and was just wondering if anyone had any experience with them on a Gladiator.

I have one on mine currently. I don't typically listen to FM radio, but I've used it enough to get a feel for the reception on the stubby. I live in Akron, Ohio which is about 35 miles from Clevelend. I can pick up the major stations from Cleveland, with a bit of static at times, and all my stations that broadcast here in Akron. That's going to be about the radius the stubby is good for, and a little less if you're in hilly/wooded terrain. I'd say if you're a heavy FM listener, you're not going to be satisified with it. If you just use FM on occassion, it's a decent option given the small footprint of the antenna.

I kept my stock antenna because when my soft top is installed and folded, it's the exact same height and let's me know that I'm not going to fit in this parking garage, drive thru, etc.

As the crow flies I’m about 80 miles from Oklahoma City and I occasionally like to listen to a couple of the FM stations from there. I recently ordered a 13” BASIKER antenna from Amazon and I can get the stations. There is some static but there was a little with the factory antenna too.

Is the radio all the stock antenna is connected to? I don’t listen to AM/FM because it’s gotten too annoying. Can it be deleted altogether or will that cause issues? Sorry for the slight thread jack.

Do you have a lift on? Go into parking garages? The Stock antenna is approx 2" above the top. Good indicator on will it fit thru the parking garage or other height limited spaces.
