I have had zero issues with the 35s and no lift. Whether to run 12.5 inch wide tires on the stock rims is a matter of some discussion. Some shops will put them on, some won’t. My shop actually suggested this tire size. I asked the community for an explanation as to why this was a bad idea and never got an answer, except for poor tire wear, which I’m not seeing. Having said that, I am thinking about some new wheels after the holiday season, simply because I cannot let go of nagging question about stock rims and that tire width in the back of my mind. There’s no point in that continuing to be a problem, so if you are going to worry, I would get wheels.great looking rig!
I had a couple of questions relating to your tires.
Any issues with the 35s with no lift? I'm curious about the impact to mpg, throttle response and ride quality.
I was under the impression that you couldn't run 12.5 wide tire on the stock rim. is that not the case?
thanks!
As far as the other questions go: 1)I have lost around 1 mpg. 2)I cannot tell a difference in throttle response, nor in power, except that it spends a little more time in 7th gear, rather than staying in 8th. It doesn’t feel different though. The right quality is a touch harsher, but the Mojave rides so well, I really only notice it when it’s cold and the road has an abnormal amount of potholes in it. I didn’t take it Offroad with the stock tires, so I cannot speak to the differences there!
I hope that this helps!!
