Dissatisfied with the only commercial offering on the market, and needing my fog lamps protected, I went to work. Ivm going to use some weatherstripping on the inside of the bumper just to keep things a little drier and to look a little more finished. Also probably a steel plate spanning the two attachment points and following the contour of the end of the bumper like the close out panel does.
ETA: Those are cut out of rigid plastic mud flap material that I hit with 60 grit sand paper on an orbital. Plenty tough material, inexpensive, easy to work, light weight.

mo bueno! nice work! that was well done. I am taking the stock off, but otherwise agree that this is a worthy endeavour

very nice!! this may become a must have here in Michigan
I couldn't abide the wiring being exposed along with the back of the light, to say nothing of the fact that if that bumper goes into the mud and I have to pull it out backwards those open ends are going to pack up like crazy
