Anyone have a good video or other resource to replace the cables on a Bestop Sunrider top? The instructions that come with the cable replacement kit leave a lot to be desired.

Yes, they are fantastic. I had the wrong instructions but they walked me through it. Really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

And here I am wondering WHY the cables need to be replaced, and if it's such a common thing they sell a kit to do it?

Same. Once it clicks in your head what you’re doing, it’s no biggie. I did it in my living room.

in my case, I bought it off of marketplace and the z-clips used to anchor the top down broke. They no longer use the z-clips so you need to replace the whole cable kit.
