Question about the HF lights. Did you use their 3 way switch, the aux switches or your own for the DRL and main lights? I've read that you can't wire the low and high beams together as it may cause issues. I'm thinking down the road and if I went with these I could wire the DRL to one aux switch and just the high beam to another since I cant see using just the low. I don't have a switch panel and don't want to add a cheap looking 3 way switch but I wouldn't mind using 2 of my aux switches for the time being. Thanks
I don't have the Aux switches in my Rubicon, and I didn't want a gangly big switch panel hanging around the already cramped cab - so I ended up with this. Super happy with it - and it didn't cost a small fortune like some of the controllers do. Looks OEM stock, is handy to reach, out of the way and works flawlessly - plus, it just seemed better engineered in pretty much all aspects. Still a bit perplexed that it's so inexpensive.

On the HF wiring - I ditched all of it, bought some 14Ga wire off Amazon and wired directly to the Voswitch box myself. Actually...I did use the HF waterproof screw-on connector from the light pigtails, and soldered those onto my own wiring loom. I put the DRL's on switch one, the two low beams from the A pillars on 2, the 2 high beams for the A pillars on 3, the 2 low beams from the bumper on 4, and the 2 high beams from the bumper on 5. 3 switches left over for other stuff!! Ran all the wiring neatly in the wiring loom under the cowl to the Voswitch box which sits over the battery. Getting the under-the-cowl retaining part loose was the hardest part. :D. I do use the low beams sometimes. I like the spread on the sides of the vehicle with the lows.

The prerunner lights are tapped into the jeeps onboard running lights. Cut the stock wire at the light and wired in a "Y" connection and soldered instead of using those janky wire tap thingies. Also added quick disconnect bullet connectors so that the grill can still come off easily.

On the Voswitch, you can program the high beams to turn off the low beams and vice versa. I haven't got around to it yet, but this is a good reminder. Super happy with the whole setup.

I have seen those handle switches in the past and have thought they would be a great addition. I like that they allow many options like what you did. The way you wired everything to work individually is spot on. Looks like an easy solution for additional lighting. Appreciate the info and great job on your part.

I’ve been eyeing that Bent Motorsports light bracket and doing 3 S1 Lasers in the middle and the 2 outside ones with wide cornering.
The lasers would be sick! Those corner lights would definitely light up the close areas as well. David and all the folks at Bent know their shit.

Do you have pics of the light output you get from the S1’s? Would like to see view from driver seat
this. please post some output pics from the drivers seat. We all know LEDs are bright if you're standing in front of them I don't know why everyone posts pics from that angle. I want to see what them lights do.

Also, difference with headlights on and off. I’d like to see the real gain before dropping that much coin. Thank you!

That light mounting is much better than most and more useful than those dumbass fake DOT marker lights everyone is gluing to their trucks. (You don't have fake DOT marker lights? Dude do you even Overland?)

I hope they sell these kits and have a provision to delete the center light on trucks with the trail camera.
Maybe two brackets with three lights each to go on each side of trail cam?

Or a bracket with a deep U shape for the center slot to wrap under the trail cam and link the two sides. I'm not sure if there's a good spot in the center to mount two different brackets.

I'm sure he could figure out how to deleted the center light and work around the camera. It would be great if they had that same size/type of camera with an IR capability. That could be fun with a Baja Design IR light!

I can do that. Give me a few days to get out done.

Oooo I like that a lot. Any chance we can see how they are mounted?
There is an example of the mounting bracket on the Bent Motorsports website but the bracket for the JT is different.

The breaker I used utilizes the stock gusset holes and the horns are relocated to holes on the new bracket. I should have taken a picture before putting the grill back on. It's basically hidden once the grill is mounted.

I have a pretty strong distaste for the DOT wide vehicle lights everybody is putting in their grills now (the taco guys really love them.) And I get why people do it, it looks cool. Ford was really successful with meeting the regs in a trendy new way with the SVT Raptor, but it was out of necessity. Something feels poserish about doing it to your regular midsized truck.

Now this however, kind of pays homage to it while being actually useful, and I like it a lot.

I need to take a look at my grill and see how much radiator it blocks, if any.
Exactly. I don't want lights anywhere unless they actually serve a real purpose. Anything I install on this truck will need to have an actual added value. Some people want the grill lights with remote control/app capabilities, which is fine for them, but that's just not my style.

That being said.... I am putting red rock lights on it but they will be serving a real purpose. I'm trying to determine where to put them since I want them completely hidden. I with be putting them in the wheel wells. Of course they will be Baja Design lights, you can't go wrong with that product. Very bright at 6x400 lumens.

I was thinking about getting something like that as well. I just wanted the single button unit so I can blast the people easily when they drive towards me with their brights on..... I'm petty.

Looks great. I'm sure the wiring was fun ;)
