I’m in Arizona willing to travel up to 500 miles assuming it’s a week long meet up, staying east of the Mississippi, I love overlanding but also do crawling, doing some of the BDR’s would be great, have lots of experience, but never enough could always use some more experience

Peter's Mill is a very easy trail and it's a badge trail. Beginner's wouldn't be scared of it and could get their first badge.
Just did this- definitely fun! My first time on a trail, and I lost a tire. But I got to experience a tire change on an uneven surface. Had a great support team! And yes, I was aired down to 25. My wife was panicked at first, because she didn't realize I had a spare under the bed. ?

I live or spend most of my time in North Central Ohio

I’m willing and able to travel 700 miles from there given 90 days notice

My first choice of destinations is Tennessee/Carolinas region.
My second choice Northern East Coast/New England region.

I’m somewhat experienced at wheeling.

Also, like others have mentioned, a multiple day event/meetup would be great to make the greater traveling distances worth it.

East Coast, Rausch Creek. Got trails for everyone. Been there for 11 straight years with the Power Wagon guys. Will be there the end of June with them again.
I was looking at that, but I'm an almost complete novice, no lift. Peter's Mill is my only point of reference- are any trails comparable in terms of clearance?

I live in NW Illinois

Im willing to travel 200 miles given 90 days notice

Newbie so no choice of destinations

I’m not at all experienced at wheeling
I live in NW Illinois as well. Been trying to find some local Jeepers in the area.

New to Jeeping as well so unfamiliar with destinations and trails in the surrounding states.

Willing to travel 150 miles or more, depending on location and event.

Bean fields, corn fields, combines, tractors, pulling stuck 4x4 tractors out of the mud, getting through tile washouts. Mostly on tractors. Does that count?

Due to lack of doors - or, lack of mirrors? I find no law against driving with no doors for Iowa (and have done it) but without mirrors is an issue in some states. I believe Iowa is fine as long as you have that inside mirror (but I'm thinking of getting outside mirrors for doorless, too, as it's a royal pain on multi-lane roads to not have those side mirrors, especially how Iowans drive).
Unfortunately, doorless is illegal in Pennsylvania, mirrors or no mirrors. The only state in the country which bans it entirely. Some places enforce it, some don't. But a lot of small towns do. It's why I have tube doors, which are kind of a grey area. But since my tube doors convert to half doors, I think if I run that way, it makes me legal, since half doors are a factory option.

Well, it's already a good day, I just learned something new.

Frankly, I'd feel more comfortable with tube doors but then the seat belt helps.

Oddly enough, I felt fine up in an ultralight with no sides, just a frame and the plastic bubble in front to act as a wind screen, and only that belt keeping you from being stupid. Viewing things way up high, I think it was the perception that we weren't going fast because things passed so very slowly below you compared to the highway - things zipping by so fast you can't see them.

Great to find a fellow Jeeper in the area! I'm in Gilberts, IL, next to Elgin. Wish we had even simple trails where we can off road. I imagine we'd have to venture up to Wisconsin or even southern Illinois for that. Hopefully something good comes of this thread.

I spend most of my time in Central or Northern Commiefornia.

Id love to get out to the east coast to meet some of yall and do some wheeling in your neck of the woods (Did the Blue Ridge Parkway on my Harley, once upon a time...), but to get that amount of time off from my job to drive all the way over, spend some time, then drive back.. aint happening right now.

If a "West Coast Forum Meet" were to occur Id be pretty open for CA, OR, NV, or AZ.
Ive burned a lot of my PTO during Duck and Turkey season but Ill keep an eye on the thread and love the idea.

Edit:
Moderately experienced, have been off road lots of times, but a good chunk of that was fire roads and national forests - experience on really technical trails is limited. Have done some light rock crawling in Utah, and completed the Jeep Adventure Academy in Hollister, CA.

First choice for me would be Norcal / Southern Oregon, but I really want to explore Nevada more as well and am totally open to hitting some spots in central / western Nevada.

Sedona AZ would be AWESOME, but would also require more time off - its probably doable for me but a little more challenging on logistics.

Also - I have GMRS for comms!

Not too far! I’m over in Lake In The Hills. Have family in Pingree Grove so I drive out that way probably every other week.

I do a lot of camping and typically go to Wisconsin when I do, but haven’t had any luck finding any trails.

Been itching to go on some trails with my JT.

Well for me it depends on how the next few weeks go. If one way I might be bumming around "living out of my JT" somewhere west of Mississippi River.
I to try to stay away from IL. I left in 87... bad enough having to visit family there. Happiness is IL in rear view mirror. I can't have my stamp collection there. :swear: If I stick E of the big muddy, Land between the Lakes could be possible.
