They do these in Australia a lot. This company makes kits but you do need to cut the tail gate out. The issue is with the central locking not many utes lock the tail gate with the central locking

Yeah, I saw those in Ronny Dahl’s recent post about his new Hilux. I want to keep my eyes out for a tailgate from a wrecked JT to play with.

Would be awesome to have a few small storage areas like that, especially if they lock. Great place to hide a key instead of a lockbox.

Check out this product from Reaper Offroad! Looks like you could mount a dual ARB compressor inside and still have room for other gear.

Ha, I came in here to post this! If anyone is wondering who Reaper is, they are a sub of Stainless Works, many are familiar with their exhaust work. Excellent fab shop located just to the east of Cleveland, OH. They have a few other parts too worth looking at.

Needs the Compression Latch, Sealed Lever Latch's . The ones on the box are a real pain. Otherwise it looks great.
