My wife said it’s the best mod I’ve done.

I enjoy not worrying about a pop-up storm and messing with the panels.

I can open and close it up to 30mph by myself. Be careful fhe wind doesn’t catch it if you do it while moving!

Tell me how much you love your OEM Sunrider made by Bestop.

I had gotten used to carrying my freedom panel bag....taking them off putting in bag, then bungie cording the bag in the bed. ( 3 kids in rear ).

Also can't imagine just thinking...hey let's take the front top off at this stoplight while we wait.

Seems awesome....do you use it constantly? I live in San Diego so seems like I would but don't wanna spend 800$ on something ill use 2x a month. Advice from an owner of one is much better advice then what I *imagine* I'd do....
Do it.

I live in Washington where it rains or there's a threat of rain 95% of the year. We had it when we went to Jackson, WY in March, where it was 10-15* in the morning. Super handy for taking pics out of the roof.

Since youā€˜re a coupon cutter, like me, fill out a Jeep credit card app at the dealer. You’ll get something like $50-100 off the Charge as a statement credit for opening and accrue 5%cash back for your charge at the dealer, plus get 6 months at 0% interest to pay off charges over $499 at the dealer. Lastly, every once in a while they will send you an offer to double your cash back if claimed at the dealer In service or product charges. …So, yep, I have a Jeep charge acct.
ive actually really thought about this. Just opening one up for the service at the department.

I know you're already convinced but I can't resist jumping in to say I think you're gonna love it. I've had mine almost two years in western NC where rain storms pop up out of nowhere on the majority of spring and summer afternoons. Freedom panels are nice in theory, but in a pop up rain storm you'll be drenched before you can even get to them. Ask me how I know!

With the Sunrider I can slow down to about 20 MPH at the first sign of a shower and close the top immediately while I'm on the road, never getting more than a few drops inside. On a pretty day I can open it up on a whim and get some sun and fresh air on the road. I couldn't even do that with a soft top. I use it all the time even on short trips when it wouldn't be worth the trouble dealing with a freedom panel or folding back a soft top. Without a doubt I think it's the best upgrade that you can do to a hardtop Jeep.

You won't be sorry. We have them on my JT and the wife's JL. Simple install, and so convenient to use that you'll find yourself opening up the top far more frequently.

hth…if you have any questions lmk.
Have you been through a car wash?. I’m worried about going through the car wash with the severe blowing of the dryer.

I’ve had my Sunrider since Christmas and probably have used it close to 1,000 times since then. It is by far one of the best things I’ve done to my JT. In the year and change that I had my freedom panels I took them off maybe 4-5 times. Living in Florida, it’s nice being able to open it when it’s sunny and close it right back up when a quick shower pops up. The cost is definitely something to consider, but in the amount of times I’ve used it, I think it’s worth every penny.

I've been through the carwash with mine on. No leaks or issues.

...agree with everyone here, but I'll state that it's the best (and most used) mod I've done. I remove in Winter an reinstall in Spring, and it gets used every day that its warm enough to open it. Wife loves it also. Pricey yes, but pull the trigger.....you'll be glad you did. P.S. If you call BestTop vs on-line order, they'll sometimes will offer $100.00 off. Good luck.

Is it true that with this installed you can not take the back top off?
I've read that somewhere. I love the idea of this, but not if it means I can't take the full roof off.

I installed mine over Christmas and haven’t uninstalled it at all. I don’t really see a need for taking it off in winter, putting back on in spring. Even when temps drop into the teens and 20’s it doesn’t have any issues. Only major concern is maybe with big snowfall? But I live in FL so that’s not really an issue.

The sunrider clamps to the rear hardtop for added support when folded back. So if you wanted to remove the rear section of the top, you would just undo the 2 bolts, undo the 2 side rails and the Sunrider comes off. Then it’s just a matter of the back bolts that hold the hardtop in place.

Ah, so it just adds the extra step of the side rails. Not bad at all. Thank you
