Mine is a permanent fixture for the summer/hardtop off. I’ve gotten more compliments with just the Sunrider on than with full top off?!

Is this true about the grab handles? I actually have Mopar grab handles on order (with a never never ending out of stock) and was going to pull the trigger on the Sunrider top, but hate to hear they are incompatible...
A late response but they didn’t effect the Sunrider at all on my Mojave.

Well now that's interesting. I was told they share the same bolt mounts and can't co-exist.

The Mopar grab handles go into the angled topholes. The sunrider goes straight through the bolt mounts. It raises it up on one point just a little bit but doesn’t affect the seal of the door or the twill.

Wife just surprised me with one from Mopar. Made of black twill and instead of the Bestop tag, it has a Jeep tag. Already put together, including that annoying clip everyone complains about. She went down to the dealership and ordered it through them, 1 day, free shipping.
I'm thinking I may have to go to the dealership then. I've been tracking on allmoparparts.com and the price is right, but it says its back-ordered: "This product is on backorder with no estimated time of arrival. Orders are still being taken and will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis once the part is available. "

I'm going through Mopar as I want it to say "Jeep" instead of Bestop.

For that price, at first I thought it was the black diamond, then I saw it says, "Enjoy the open air experience in your Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator with the Mopar Sun Rider for Hardtops from AllMoparParts.com. The new Sunrider Flip Top for Hardtop is constructed from ultra-premium black twill fabric."

Yeah, I installed mine in like minutes, and it is twill. My wife said she tried the local dealership and they hunted one down. Shipped it to the dealership, saved on shipping cost, and picked it up there. My favorite mod so far. Only thing is I already got sun burned from going on a trip with it down. So, I have ordered the Bestop targa mesh top for some shade.

The twill sunrider is probably one of my favorite purchases. Scored a brand new twill off FB marketplace for $600 and I could not pass it up. I use it almost everyday and the noise difference between this and the freedom tops is negligible to me.

Ok, about a week ago I got my Mopar Sunrider installed, and I love having it. That said, I have noticed that the passenger side twill top is looser than the driver's side. It flaps and makes noises only on the passenger side, while the driver side barely vibrates at highway speed.

Was curious before I go to the dealership if there is a way to adjust something to tighten that side or just have them check it out. Thanks

There aren't any adjustments you can make. Definitely have them check it out.

ordered Monday from the quadratec sale. Rushed home from work when I saw fedex delivered it today 3 hours ago. The z clip installation is kind of annoying, but once you have that part done it's super simple. Since I wont be disconnecting the arms when I store it for the winter i'll never have to seat those z clips again anyway.

Went for one test drive and I immediately knew this purchase would not be regretted. There would be times with just the hardtop leaving work where i'd want to take my panels off, but didn't want to develop a reputation as "that guy" making a scene about taking his roof off (some jealous, gossipy little twats where i work). Or there would be times where I'd want to rock no panels with stuff in the bed. No dice! those freedom panels dominate the bed. Or times when it's just too fucking hot to imagine leaving the top open while you're parked outside Target knowing the sun is cooking your seats, but you didn't want to take off and put the panels back on TWICE just for one trip to the store, so you end up not taking them off at all.

That's all now a thing of the past for me. What used to be a process that required decision making (and weather cheacking) is now just clip clip flip. Glad I got one at the beginning of summer too. It's staying on until at least November. The sunrider will end up being my full time top probably 9 months a year.

I noticed mine does the same thing when I have one window down and I’m driving over 30 miles an hour I’ll start to hear a flop flip here and there. But if everything’s closed up I don’t hear that at all. I’m assuming it’s the wind rushing by the open window creating suction.
