So, basic sport S. went with 33's. That little increase has the ride rougher then stock. small but meh.

What shock/coil can give me a.. dont want to say softer, but a smoother ride? Not looking to lift.

Ive read about fox 2.0, possible rubi take offs. but i heard that is actually a firmer ride.

seen falcon shocks, but damn they are expensive.

Opinions? suggestions?

If all you did was change tires your issue is with the tires. A larger tire should give you a smother ride you need to work with tire pressures lower the pressure some and see if that works, the more air the stiffer the ride. If you have a MT they tend to give a slightly rougher ride compared to a AT. These trucks come with linear springs which are soft to begin with.

No, i got that. it wasnt very smooth to begin with. the tire pressure has exacerbated it, yes, but it reminded me of previous question. AT's

Here I am thinking that my larger tires, 325/65R18s, have this thing riding like a boat. :crying: Tire pressure is at the stock 38psi, but now, I really notice the squishy suspension. I am not so sure I want to pump them up higher, though I might try it out. So, the Fox 2.0s are firmer?

On my Rubicon they are good but also a little soft. You can find take offs for cheap so worth a try. Some like Falcon shocks from Teraflex saying that they add a nice firmness.

IMO yes the Fox 2.0 provides a better and firmer ride. I have a set of take-offs for sale.
$200.

I have the Rubicon take offs springs and shocks on my Sport S. JCR bed rack, tuff stuff awning, Decked drawer system with some gear in the drawers. Just done a 1200 mile road trip . I thought it rode pretty good before this. some of the bumps in the rode had me bouncing like a basketball, or like the rear shocks were busted. I am going to have to figure this out and fix it.
