Tazer mini on woot?

Nobody got stiffed. They will use the free and painless Amazon return process and get all their money back.

While a free and painless return is definitely an option, getting the wrong product at an advertised sale price is still getting stiffed in my book. Will Woot and by extension Amazon make good on the return? Yes. Will the purchaser get what was promised to begin with? Not likely. Not a complaint but a statement of fact.

The problem I have is that Woot was contacted with the first error, (then several more) and not once did they pull the advertisement to verify the products were accurately reflected. Just shows poor planning and execution on their part.

And if anyone had really wanted to get a Tazer JL Lite to begin with, I doubt they would have wanted to pay $10 more for it.

Someone nefarious could order a mini from Amazon and swap the woot one into the packaging and return it…. Thus getting what they paid for… in theory.

You are correct. That happens all the time. I constantly see reviews on Amazon when that has happened to people when Amazon takes that return and resells it without checking the contents.

Just updating myself here. I reached out to Z automotive and they let me know that they are having issues specifically with this woot deal with the boxes being mislabeled and customers getting the wrong version. They told me when you plug it in to your computer if you look under the firmware version it will show either d0 (lite) or d1 (mini). I guess I lucked out because they confirmed I got the mini. Hopefully this clears it up for anyone else.

Thank you .. Mine showed up today and thanks to your post I was able to validate that mine was the mini (d1) and not rely on the sticker alone

Just received mine today and it was a mini as advertised. Now time to get it installed
