I have the Mojave with the 8.4 screen, but no front facing camera. I know I can enable that input for the front facing camera using the Tazer but I also saw that you can use an input to add a firestick as well. I had a firestick installed in my JK and loved it, so I want the same in my JT. But my questions is.....does the input that the Tazer enables for the front facing camera the same as the input for the firestick mod? Are you able to use both the camera and firestick or do I have to choose one?

The Cargo Camera input is the one that can be enabled. It is an analog input using a RCA jack. There is only one input available, but you can use a video switch to connect multiple devices and manually choose which one you want active.

Thanks. Any ideas on how to use a video switcher so it can be switched conveniently? I dont have the AUX inputs option from the factory.

Correct. Now you have access to Youtube, Netflix, anything. Firestick connects to wifi on your phone.
So how do you get from the HDMI on the Fire Stick to the RCA input on the head unit?

Holy crap. that means I could watch my Tablo recordings in my truck LOL
A few years back I rooted my old firestick and grabbed the Tablo app and got it running on firestick so I can use it to watch recordings on older TVs that don't have the web app in them to access my recordings.

The input for the front facing camera cannot be used for anything other than the factory camera. The cargo camera input is the only one that can be used. The RCA input cable has to be added to the harness behind the radio. The $190 AV kit from ZAutomotive should give you all the pieces needed to hook it up.

So for ~$600, you can stream video to your in-dash 8.4” screen…

Why not just watch a tablet?
A tablet will have a better screen, better resolution, etc. and you can mount a tablet up higher to save your neck and shoulder muscles - using maybe a Bulletpoint mount or similar.

Aha ! So there are two separate inputs. Thats what I was looking for. So I can add a front facing camera and add a firestick. Thanks !

A tablet will work also, but I like the factory-like setup better. I had it in my JK and loved it being apart of the head unit. Its subjective though.
