Tent Setup

I used to pitch a tent on the ground, or just good ol poncho on a string. Now with a toddler old enough to start camping looking for something a bit more comfy. Tried a setup off Amazon… did not hold up well. I don’t want a bolt on rack, are there any options that can be put on a hard tonneau covers?

I have one of those bed tents. Looking at your picture here, I believe you set it up wrong. The tent actually rests up on the top railing, making it a lot taller inside. If it is too big to do that, then it may be for a full size truck.

Agreed. The setup isn't right. You can't yank those straps down hard. I used mine and am pretty happy with it. I did take the tonneau cover off (two easy bolts) to make it even easier. I have pictures of my setup here somewhere - I'm in my shop on a chomebook and it doesn't lend itself well to access photos on my other computers.
Anyway, that install is definitely not as it should end up. I had no problems with bugs, it sealed well.
I'll try to find my pics later unless someone else does first...

I thought seemed a bit too big, emailed the support listed on Amazon site with not much response, ended up refunding the damn thing, pretty sure they send me a wrong setup.
