I’ve got a steersmarts big beefy front track bar. No noise, and it doesn’t move. FYI
Thanks. I’ll take a look at those. I was looking at the core 4x4 ones as well.
Someone also recommended doing a synergy sector shaft bracket and trackbar brace.

Your Trackbar definitely shouldn't be moving like that. Steersmarts yeti setup is a good one. Also I ran the rough country one on my JKU and it never moved and was similar in setup to the teraflex without the movement. My buddy is running the Rough Country one on his JT and I asked him about any kluncking or movement and he checked and said no movement or noise. That thing should stay in place and have almost zero movement because the more movement it has the greater chance of you getting Death Wobble

Yeah I am looking at the core 4x4 and the steersmarts one. Trying to make a decision.

Yeti or Synergy (I use Synergy) are better solutions. I had to tap my Synergy bar into place as the fit was tight which is just the way it should be. Plus they have a better architecture and easier OEM style (drag link style) adjustment.

I love Synergy products and Rock Krawlers as well, used Rock Krawler on my JKU, only thing I don't like is the dang Jam Nuts. I wish they made it adjustable on the jeep rather than off. Synergy does make great stuff though.

I dont have a teraflex lift, i installed the rough country 2.5in lift, and I was having noise after install. I could have sworn it was my traction bar or drag link, since both had some movement. Turns out it was my upper shock bolt - tightened it up and clunking noise went away.

No, it’s absolutely NOT supposed to wiggle freely or loosely and should be squeezed tightly by the metal frame and axle brackets.
I’ve trained in Steering, Suspension, Alignment, and Brakes. I’ve worked as a mechanic and built many trail rigs….

I’m currently having the same issue.
The looseness can allow the trackbar to leverage against the bolt and break it. Obviously a safety issue and will cause undue stress and premature wear to other components.
I’ll be contacting Teraflex.

Just took my Gladiator to the dealer today. Backstory...

Mopar 2" lift with Fox Shocks and the front shocks were going bad or needing serviced after 30k miles. I also wanted a little more lift so I would need new shocks anyways. With more lift also needed an adjustable trackbar. Dealer is Liberty Jeep in Rapid City, SD. They order me Teraflex 1.5" spring spacers, the Teraflex Adj trackbar. I ordered on my own Fox 2.5 Factory Remote Reservoir Shocks for 4" lift. All the parts are in and drop off the jeep end of December to get everything installed. Dealership did an awesome job as always. Little more expensive than I anticipated but they warranty all their work so I never think about it. In this case glad I took it to them.

Since day 1 driving it after new shocks, spring spacers and trackbar installed, there is a clunk in the steering, when I hit a bump mostly with the passenger front wheel I can feel the same clunk. Fully replicatable in my driveway sitting still, can feel and hear the noise.

Take it to dealer and they send their Tech out who is super awesome and easy to work with. BTW this is not my first Jeep. Have had many dating back to 96 with my first TJ and one of the first in the country then with a factory/dealership installed Rubicon Express long arm kit. Same dealer has moved to teraflex for all their dealership installed items. Like I said always great success with this dealer and service team.

Tech has me jump in and move the steering wheel and he instantly spots the problem. The passenger side Trackbar sleeve at the heims thread is loose. The two 10mm 12 point bolts are supposed to be set to 60ft/lb torque sequentially. Meaning tighten like you would a beadlock, going back and forth with the two bolts tightening them together not just one at a time. Mechanic says he double checked the torque on those after the jeep went for an alignment after he installed all the parts.

Since, now the parts dept has been in contact with Teraflex to order the warranty replacement. Now waiting for the replacement to come in.

Damn sad to see Teraflex is still having crappy customer service. I ran one of their kits on my one of my old JK’s and after a year the springs sagged so bad I had to run 1” spacers to keep it off it’s bump stops. When I contacted them, they said their lifts weren’t intended for steel bumpers and winches and then completely stopped replying

Same situation here. I called Teraflex and the rep tried to tell me the movement was a characteristic of the part and that the sleeve was probably loose (it wasn't) Its clearly loose at the joint with the truck on the ground. Clunks every time I hit a bump or turn the wheel. Long story short my Clayton trackbar arrived earlier this week.

Yeah, I was told by Teraflex that the track bar uses “Roller Bearings” at the joints for articulation and the clunking is a characteristic of it properly working….. I’m SICK of hearing the noise because it always makes me think something else could go wrong and this clunk will cover it and make it go unnoticed until catastrophe occurs.
I was also told by the Teraflex Technical Expert that I should be careful of torquing the front 12-point bolts until they both tighten equally; I hadn’t asked anything about that concern.
Sounds like they know they’ve made mistakes and don’t want to fix their errors.
….
I’ve also been warned, by others, about the need to use lock-tight on those 12-point bolts and that the extra forging on the upper end will not allow the use of a reinforcement bracket on the upper track bar mount. Unfortunately, I was warned after my regrettable purchase.
….
I’ve used Synergy Track bars and will change to that because they are built Strong, Flex well, and are Quiet unlike Teraflex’s Clunky Track Bar.
…. Teraflex has been an expensive mistake.
