I like that they really use and abuse their long term test vehicles... not just drive them around on the road

Anyone know why the lights flicker? Passenger side one flickers off in this picture while the drivers side light is on in this picture. Looks like a highway department’s road repair trucks flickering lights. What’s that all about? Would be annoying to see that on any car rolling down the road. Or do they just do this when it’s in 4 wheel drive mode? What’s the 411 here?

If I had to guess, I'd say there's a loose electrical connection in that light.

Not the case. I have seen these flickering lights on Gladiators in lots of videos.

Thank for the info. Need to see them rolling down the road in real time to see how those LED’s light up.

Because LEDs operate on pulse width modulation and depending on the cameras rate of capture it can pick up the LEDs modulation
Being disintegrated makes me very angry. Very angry indeed.

something about video only recording at 30 frames per second, but the LED lights if driven from a PWM flash more times per second, so the camera records some of the time when the light isn't actually on.
