The first time I heard it was when my wife and I were at her Mom's cottage in a retirement community. She had a bag of trash and they come to collect it. I said I'll take it to the dumpster on our way out. I toss the bag on my hard tonneau and off we go. I leave it running, get out and I got yelled at by the vehicle that I'M paying for.

I get back in and my wife asks, "What was that ?" to which I replied, "That, m'dear, was fu**ing stupid, that's what that was.".

I hear it every now and then when I get out with the vehicle running. I just turn and give the Jeep the finger.

Mine might start again on its own but I've never tried to wait it out. How quickly does yours usually start back?

not totally sure.as I only drive it on weekends. Seems maybe the next day it’s working again.

I didn't know the honking when leaving the vehicle was a thing until I experimented with mine last night...my 2020 doesn't honk when I leave the vehicle, running, with fob in my pocket. Oh, BTW, I have the manual 6spd . Another benefit of the manual transmission...added to the benefit of reduced chance of theft due to new generation's inability to row gears. The possibility of an exploding pressure plate with subsequent fire is just a minor downside.
