To start off, I do not do any serious off-roading/rock crawling. Just a few overlanding trips or weekends out in the Ozarks. Would I love a full blown lift kit, sure. Do I NEED one, no. I was always considering the AEV spacer kit but a curious about this setup because of the coil springs.
thoughts, concerns.
looking for advice from more experienced and knowledgeable suspension gurus.
thanks.

Spring lift will beat out a spacer any day of the week and twice on Sundays. That being said, the Quadratec kit is assembled to a lower price point due to the shocks and end links.

For what you state is your current end use type, it will probably suffice.

Edit: Also cheap because it is missing an adjustable front track bar and extended front lower control arms. You are going to want those since you are going above 2" of lift

A few concerns:

1. You need a way to adjust caster after the lift. Control arms or brackets.

2. Your axles will be off center. Not really a big deal, but if it bothers you visually, you'll need a front track bar and a rear track bar or bracket.

3. It appears you have to take their shocks with the kit. Hydros should be softer, but they are currently out of stock. Not sure how their Nitro shocks ride, but they might be a bit stiff.

Yes, I had a JL with the spacer lift and stock control arms. Wasn’t a terrible ride, but I could easily add adjustable control arms or even the mopar extended LCAs. I know this kit doesn’t have everything. But for my needs it doesn’t seem bad. Thanks for the thoughts

I’m just waiting to see a Gladiator Sahara model.

Grab some Mopar LCAs with that and call it a day. It’s an affordable way to get your truck up in the air. You can swap out shocks later on if need be.

Quadratic support said it’s on back order for now because of front shocks. Orders can be placed and then will not be charged once product ships. They have them on sale and $40 off $400 today on their website. Like you said then grab some mopar extended LCAs and be settled.

Ghetto springs and shocks may just ride like turds. If you're happy with the stock feeling just do spacers. That kit is pretty janky.

Are you sure you need any lift? If you've got a Rubicon they've already got good suspension and higher fenders, you can easily run 35's with your stock set up.
