2021 jeep gladiator sport max tow. Time for new tires. Purchased truck because always wanted one but it couldn't do the chores I needed to . Always had pickups specifically for heavy construction work. Now semi retired didn't need fullsize anymore. The occasional move of equipment trailer from one jobsite to the next. Pulling mower trailer. Most important pulling boat.In these first 40,000 miles have fell in love with it style and peppy ness and don't want to lose that. Would like more aggressive tread for a more jeep look. Don't want to loose any towing or as little as possible. Considering 265/70/17 , same basic height just touch wider and more options available. Or 255/75/17 taller slightly and almost the same width. Fewer options available in this size. Not looking for large tires or lifts. Just subtle upgrade . Opinion on size choice appreciated. Understand most want larger but I don't and it's ok. That why they make both chocolate and vanilla! Thanks . currently on 245/75/17 Bridgestone dueler at. No there will be weight difference. Shouldn't be enough to effect towing terribly.

I would go with the 265/70/17. The extra choices allows more flexibility and should be a good fit.

Do BajaBoss AT's come in that size? It's a great looking tire, yet still well-mannered and very capable. Recon Grapplers are the newest and look great too, but I have no experience with them.

EDIT: Just saw you posted while I was typing. I vote for the BajaBoss AT's too ha!

Cooper stt maxx come in 255-80r70 which is another nice size. Great tire no issues with towing stability either as I think that's an E load. Consider D rating if you value comfort more.

Tiresize.com is a great resource for doing comparisons and helping to figure out which size you want.

I would go with the 265/70R17 size you are leaning towards. BFG has them in both load range C and load range D. Depending how heavy your boat is will determine if you need the heavier of the two. I chose the KO2's and am very happy with them! ;)

I put BFG KO2s on my max tow. 285/75/17

I pull a small camper and a utility trailer. Still get good gas mileage and pep. I don't have a lift.

@JTMXT All of the tires mentioned above are very capable. Not to add to the list, but the Nitto Terra G2 is a great choice as well.

It has very good road manners, but has done exceptionally well for me on launch ramps.
