Except VW owns Porsche. For example, The Porsche Cayenna is a rebadged VW Touareg. Its the same SUV. Also, Bridgestone owns Firestone. The only place to buy Bridgestone tires is from a Firestone center.
You can buy Bridgestone tires a lot of places. I never go to Firestone retail stores. I’ve never been happy with their services.

anyway, it doesn’t matter. You can’t buy the Revo 3 anymore and that’s the tire I recommend. It’s an excellent all around A/T tire.

True. I wasn't pleased when I found out my Stallantis Jeep JTR is actually just extended version of the 4-door Fiat 500. That was OK but what really annoyed me was when I kept trying to upgrade the electronics and the Peugeot screen lit up and I had to follow the instructions in French. But in the end I knew it was OK when I got a confirmation OUI ! on my screen.

I feel better now.

I think there are actually quite a lot of us that don't care for them. My nittos were hands down the worst tires I've ever had. I had a set of terra grapplers and they were so bad that no one would ride in the truck with me as they just had no lateral grip even in mild corners and just gave a strong sense of uneasiness. I quickly replaced them as my wife refused to drive the truck until I did. My dad also had a pair of nittos and they wore quickly and poorly with a rough ride and not great on road grip.

I know a lot of people like them but I have just not been impressed by any of them yet to unseat my favorites in the different categories. Maybe if they were cheaper but at their prices I just feel like I can find a whole lot better tires.

Fully admit that I have not tried their latest stuff so maybe their newer stuff is better but even the guy with the recons I know said he won't be going back to them.
Wondering if tire pressure was not the problem.......

The sidewalls just weren't stiff enough for the weight of the truck, you could feel it roll over on to the sidewall mid corner which is why it inspired no confidence, just a wallowing crap tastic tire. I'm sure their other stuff is fine but that metric 34 was trash even pumped to its max pressure
