Hello,

Some background.... I own a 2021 Mojave, and I have had the infamous Manual clutch recall completed.

I am getting a lift and larger tires (37") put on next week, and I want to recalibrate the speedometer for the new tire size. I am concerned because I have heard nothing but horror stories about doing this after the Clutch recall with regards to the new software.

I was thinking maybe I should go to the dealership to have them do the recalibration. That way, if something goes wrong, they can't place blame somewhere else. Or should I just use a Tazer or JScan?

Has anyone had any success stories? What method did you use?

Thanks in advance...

I doubt having your dealer do any calibration change is going to give you any benefit of them not pointing back at your 37's regardless down the road. I would suggest just using a JScan setup as you will probably have to do it two-three times to get it dialed in just right anyways.

As I'm in an auto, I'm not aware of any issues with a manual trans and a tire size recalibration. Perhaps others with that recall recently done will jump in.
Regarding the change in tire size, I have the JScan app and have used it to recalibrate my speedo when I was running 35s and then the current 37s. When recalibrating for tire size, measure the actual diameter, not the advertised diameter of your tire, and enter that value.

I dig the MT Baja Bosses, they will be my next set when mine need replacing.

Great! Thanks for the replies! It seems like from what I have been reading, that the dealerships run into the issue but don't know what to do. Then the owners either use JScan or Tazer and it solves the issue. Since I already have a JScan well....
