I’m new to Gladiators as well as Jeeps. I’m going to be asking a lot of questions (some of them stupid), so I decided to place them in my own thread as to not junk up the forum. I will do my best to search the forums first before I post, so as to not irritate anyone here.
I consider myself a car guy (as well as old truck guy). I know my way around a wrench, so most of the time you’ll be able to just point me in the right direction, and I can handle it from there.

Just a list of vehicles I’ve restored in the past include:
1951 Chevy 3100 Truck
1964 VW Beetle
1968 VW Beetle
1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible

I currently drive a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro SS coupe. The only mod I did on it was sound deadening. At certain speeds, the ZR rated tires would send vibrations into the car which would wreak havoc with my tennitus.

I ordered this Jeep Gladiator with its major purpose being a truck. I don‘t need a full sized truck because 6K pounds is more than enough towing, plus I really like the Gladiator styling. Secondly, living in a rural area, 4 wheel drive is a must because no one is going to clear the roads out here if there is snow or ice (was already stranded once this year).

My ultimate goal is to make my Gladiator the quietest diesel gladiator on the planet. You are probably saying to yourself, why did this numb skull buy a diesel if he wanted quiet? The diesel Gladiator I test drove effortlessly got up to 80 mph (speed limit 75) where as the gasoline V6 just SCREAMED at way higher RPMs to get there. Both were loud, the diesel seem less annoying to me.

The first mod will be the CoverKing headliner with sound deadening.

The second mod will be adding sound deadening to the floor, firewall, and doors.

Third Mod inner fender liners. I plan on replacing the stock inner fender liners with aftermaket while putting sound deadening on the non-exposed sides.

Forth Mod will be some sort of drop step sliders.

Check your spell check - fenders.

Anyway, doing it all in a single thread is a bad idea. Put the questions in the area they belong in with a descriptive topic if you want them found and responded to in a more timely fashion.
Creating one long hairy thread for multiple questions isn't a good idea at all in forums.
Electric under electric, transmission under transmission, engine under engine, and so on.
Otherwise people will see the first question after 4 have been asked and answered, and take it all right back to the beginning.

All in one thread, very bad idea.

Sorry about the spelling. It’s my Texas accent and I spell things the way it sounds in my head. ;)

Yes, you are probably correct, it probably is not a good idea. I’ve spent the last 18 years here:

http://corvaircenter.com/phorum/list.php?1

which is quite antiquated, but serves its purpose.

I apologize for the spelling. Because of my Texas accent, I tend to spell words as they sound in my head.

Yes, it's probably not a good idea, and you're probably right about that. I've been here for the previous 18 years:
