Hello all. As I read in the manual, torx for the roof bolts to the body is 155 lbs. That seam to be a lot to me. Just wanted to confirm the torx needed before I break out my torx wench. Also, would this include the two front top bolts. Thanks for your time !

If you try to torque the bolts to 155 ft-lbs you will break the mounting flanges on the roof. Tighten them until they are snug.

Do you mean the hardtop bolts? If so notice the tool kit handle is only 4-5 inches long most bolts going through plastic only needs to be snugged down.

The manual says to torque the torx bolts on the roof to 155 INCH pounds, not foot pounds. HUGE difference. 155 in lbs equals a little less than 13 ft lbs.

I like how they give torque specs and then instruct you to use the "provided #T50 Torx head driver and ratchet" that don't stop you from over-torqueing.

Are we just supposed to know how to torque to specific values with our bare hands?

Wait, wait, so you're telling me the calibrated torque click in my elbow isn't normal? Oh man I better get that checked out ?

That's 155 IN-LBS... NOT FT-LBS... Would equal about 13 Ft-lbs... Just enough to keep it tight through friction of the bolt head to the fiberglass...

I missed that that was already stated... lol
