Thanks for trying to help me out in advance… I have a 2023 gladiator and I’m looking to buy “”One TPS sensor”” Model # TIS-19…… is there a preferred place to buy these from besides going down to the dealer and having to order one? Thank you…………. Updated P.S. I believe the steel spare on my 23 gladiator rubicon does not have a sensor and I like to have five matching wheels and tires as I normally do so it’s easy pleasie to rotate everything. Last weekend I had the four sensors removed from my stock Rubicon wheels and tires, and now they are waiting to go on my bead locks.

I when I order tires they just called the dealer to order them. The cost for them is not that bad. Less then 50 if I remember right.

I ordered a set of 4 off Amazon. Weren't the cheapest, but weren't dealership price. They seem to work just fine.

I bought mine from Rock Auto. They were about $27 ea for Mopar factory sensors.

They are factory learning also. No programming necessary. Just drive about 20 miles and they will relearn.

Sorry to hijack the thread but, I would like to understand how these work. I know I can move my wheels around, and the truck figures it out. I saw them do something with a reader device at the tire place when they put the new one on. Is it necessary to "connect" it to the truck? If I loaned my spare to a buddy, for instance, would it just pick it up? Did the aftermarket one they sold me maybe need to know what protocol to use? Does anyone know where the sensor(s) are that the jeep uses to read them? Does anyone that really know or care to elaborate?

I run 5 matching tires and wheels. I rotate the spare in each time and a different tire/wheel becomes the spare.
No programming, no time needed - drive it and it works.
I REFUSE to user after-market TPMS sensors for various reasons -
You can buy proper, correct MOPAR sensors from forum sponsors at a discount,
You can buy proper, correct MOPAR sensors on Amazon, rockauto, etc.
That way if something doesn't work - it's a MOPAR part and the dealer has to deal with it because it's a MOPAR part and MOPAR parts have a 2 year warranty, or the remainder of your truck warranty, which ever is longer for you.
Plus - there are two different TPMS sensors used in Gladiators depending on the build date of the truck.

Not sure why people spend thousands on wheels and/or tires but refuse to buy decent parts with a MOPAR warranty like this.
Makes no sense - spend thousands to make it look good but cheap-out on safety or operational parts.

Drive 20 feet and they connect and work. Mine did. Installed new sensors in the wheels (bought some take-off wheels) and as soon as it was out of reverse and into drive - they registered.

Seems like you are coming in a little hot there Pops.
I would not say I refused to buy decent parts. I was upgrading my steel wheel to a matched Mopar wheel and new tiers all around so I could do a five-tire rotation and have a sensor when I put the spare on. It was just part of the package to buy it from Americas tires along with the tires. It has a warranty. If I ever have problems with it I guess I may think about replacing it with Mopar but I'm not sure it is accurate to call it a "cheap-out".
Mopar, frankly, is not the paradigm of quality and the tire store is a lot easier and faster to deal with on a warranty than the local dealer by a significant margin.
Not that my buying choices need to make sense to you but maybe that background helps.

Not guaranteed to be programmed out of the box. I put a mopar TPMS on my matching spare and it needed a trip to the dealer to initialize it to register with the truck.

Yes. For the most part they re-learn immediately. The last set I bought from RockAuto had 2 of 5 that were stuck in sleep mode and took a lot of driving to get them to sync properly. The first set in the 37's relearned immediately like you had stated in less than a mile.

I tried rock auto and that was a complete headache for a 2023. Then I tried a site sponsor called all Mopar parts, and that went CRAZY SMOOTH and now it is on order, 26 bucks and change. Thank you all!

So I just did my first 5 tire rotation. put some new tires on a few months ago. went ahead and got five.

had Discount Tire install new Method rims today (on all 5) and found out I didn't have sensor in the spare. ?.

so, if I understand it correctly I need to go and purchase another Mopar TPMS sensor and have them put one in the spare. on the next tire rotation (all 5 tires), that spare with automatically read on the correct tire and the new spare will not show up.

if I am correct in that assumption, this is the first modern vehicle I have owned that won't show if the spare should it get low in air pressure.

What other vehicles have you owned that had a TPMS in the spare from the factory and was not a Jeep Wrangler?
