The power seats are a nice bonus with the package. They are comfortable and allow for easy lumbar and seatback adjustment especially on longer drives. And when my wife occasionally uses the vehicle she has an easier time getting a comfortable driving position. The one thing missing is the memory function.

The passenger side is also a power seat.
No memory seat option with the power seats.
Huge miss by Stellantis.
Introduction literature for the 2024 from Stellantis indicates
that a memory function was supposed to be included
with the power seats, but it was never implemented.

"The new Gladiator’s Uconnect 5 system offers more connected services and features for unmatched ease of use.
The suite of system highlights includes:
12.3-inch digital touchscreen (new)
Jeep Adventure Guides featuring Trails Offroad (new)
Five user profiles plus a valet mode – customizable music preferences, apps, seat position, mirror angles
and climate comfort levels (new)"
Where does that say memory seat? It's a multiple way adjustment, which sounds like it's customizable.

User profiles. Our sales guy alluded to something like that earlier this year - you can set profiles in the screen which tailor the radio preferences, colors, stations, mirror positions, and it appeared, even seat positions, based on the user. It can also connect to two phones at once.

So my wife likes the temperature set to about 66 - and when i drive, I have to change it back up to 69 or I'm cold.
I'd love to be able to press a button and have things set for me.

Congratulations - looks fantastic.

And on the seats topic...I don't understand why power seats are such a big deal to people. Seriously, how often do you adjust your seat? I've had my Gladiator for six months now and I've adjusted it once - the day I got it. My daily driver Cadillac with five million seat settings hasn't been adjusted in probably seven years. I wonder if the motors even still work.
I adjust them constantly!!!! When you’re at my age…. the body (back, knees, hips, legs, ankles) are moody on a day-to-day basis. I’m lucky if I can get in and keep the seat the same place.

Memory seats would be nice….. My husband and I both drive it. Stellantis/Jeep isn’t stupid. There are lots of upgrades and features they’ll HOLD BACK just to force you to upgrade to a NEW Jeep later when those features have been added.

I don’t think the seat position or seat settings is part of the profiles - or else we would’ve noticed the seat changing between us (my husband and I).
Unless we’re doing something wrong……. Or need to change a setting somewhere?

I’m all ears!

If you set a different seating position for different profiles, you would expect the seat to move into that position each time a particular profile is used. And then you would expect it to return to the previous position when going back to the previous profile. That sounds like a memory seat to me. YMMV. I guess we will never know, since none of the profiles save the seat position or move the seats when a different driver profile is selected.

Unfortunately, neither the mirror angles or climate controls change if you create a new profile, open it, move the outside mirrors and change the climate temps. When you go back to the original profile, the mirrors don't move and the climate temperature controls do not go back to the original profile settings.

Yes, it does connect to two phones at once, wirelessly.

If there is only one driver, no big deal.

For me, the manual seats are much easier and faster to put into a comfortable position if another driver or a dealer tech changes the seat position. I do understand and empathize with the handicapped issue.

The only thing I've found to work differently with different profiles are radio presets, station being listened to, and some nav settings. I haven't played with apps on different profiles.

What I'm finding is seeming to be more aimed at the '24 European Wrangler. I've yet to see something that matches what I know about the USA models.

I'm digging into it further, but so far, no joy on the GLADIATOR/USA models

I found something interesting years ago - when I took off for work early in the morning, I got my mirrors all set perfectly.
When I got off work, 9 hours later of being on my feet all day, I'd get in my car and had to readjust the mirrors down just slightly.
Next morning - adjust mirrors again.
I asked a doctor about it and he laughed - saying it's typical to be taller in the morning than evening if you worked standing most of the day.
My back is so bad these days, the effect isn't as great and I'm not on my feet for that many hours (unless I spend the whole day in my shop).
I also move the seat adjustments a bit now and then, depending on back or hip or knee pains, etc.

The Grand Cherokee loaner I am driving has user profiles in the radio, but a separate memory seat control. So I don't think the two are connected.

Dealer sales guy, who takes training for stuff, confirmed......no connection on US JT. No memory for mirrors or seats.
Interesting that in European JLU it now has lane departure warning like Grand Cherokee has had for years.

The flagship models (most expensive models - Example: Grand Cherokee) will always have more & better tech, better options and be several steps ahead all the other models. They want you to buy the flagship models cuz they make more $ . Trickling out the options year over year ( on all models ) in hopes you’ll upgrade and buy new ( again ).

We've owned more Grand Cherokees than I can recall - I need to go through old records and see if I can find - count- each of them - from ZJ to WJ to WK to WK2, etc. Last one we had was a 2021. You didn't have to order any options other than tow package because they came with everything, especially in later years.
But those are sold to a very different audience, very different.

Today, companies have to keep up with the competition.
10 years ago, a BASIC Hyundai or Kia came with more USB ports than you'd ever use, phone charging stations and more. And all for under 25K.
To keep selling to more and more as the older customers age out and the young come in - which they need to attract, they need to look competitive in all models. It's as much about attracting younger buyers, or first time Jeep buyers as anything else.
My son bought his first Jeep - a Compass, a few years ago because of the options. Otherwise he was figuring Jeep= bland, no options but high price. The Compass surprised him. But a year ago, he wanted to go electric for where they live (Florida) - their drives are normally short, within the range of almost any electric, and - Jeep didn't offer anything, especially with the options ((he's 42, I still consider him young - a kid compared to me!)
Had Jeep offered something - he might have stuck with 'em as he really liked the Compass a lot. He even towed with it when moving and it did great on the trip from IA to FL.

The bit about the Europeans - it's a lot of law. If you want to sell there, you MUST include certain things or it won't get sold. That's another big reason for the changes - European markets - and it's silly to have two totally different vehicles, so they are starting to move things from the European models to the USA models.
