Trailer wiring

Hi All:
I am thinking of adding a Wrangler to my collection. The one I m looking at does not have a trailer package. As the Gladiator and Wrangler are so similar I was wondering if anyone here knows if the wiring is back there? Amazon has the hitch but the electrical part could be a problem.

I would not tow with a JT or JL, unless it came with a factory installed Tow Package.

Depending on what you are towing you will be fine as long as you install the hitch correctly (torque specs) and stay within your limits. I tow a small boat and a utility trailer with my wife's JLU often. An i installed the hitched and harness my self. That means be mindful of the capacity o the specific hitch you get AND the weight the JLU is rated for when it coems to cargo capacity. I personally used the Q tech one linked below.

Two options for the harness. Both connect through the rear lights with the in place wiring combined with the harness in the kits linked below. Fart around youtube and look for install videos.

I used the J-Scan app to go into the JLU computer and turn on the trailer harness setting. Ive had zero issues since Install and pulled both trailers probably 20-30 times total since it went on.
