Two weeks ago I put up a post on a noise coming from the engine bay while driving. Noise couldn’t be duplicated at dealer service. Then sometime after that, a week or so, check engine light came and a service transmission notification came on. Jeep has been in dealer ever since and this is what the service rep says. Now I don’t know if this was the cause of the original noise that I’ve been hearing from the very beginning of getting this jeep brand new.

Transmission does not need to be removed to remove and replace the valve body.

That being said, most of what I have seen reported by others that had the valve body replaced to address a complaint, eventually the whole transmission had to be replaced anyways.

Call Jeep Customer Care. They will open a case and can help expedite getting parts, if they are available. They also search other Jeep dealerships for anyone that may have a back order part at their dealership. If they find it they will arrange it to be sent to your dealership. Dealerships won’t share parts if they make the request to each other. They do it when Jeep intervenes. I had to have my transmission replaced and the customer care rep was excellent. They will also reimburse up to $30 per day for a rental car.

Not on any transmission I've ever worked on, and even these, it's not necessary.
It's a royal pain on some older transmissions, but removing the transmission is more of a royal pain!

Noises could be torque converter, among other things.

Now to his ordering a transmission when he says the problem is the valve body............
If this is a warranty thing - he can't replace the transmission and have it covered if Jeep says replace the valve body.
He also can't take the valve body out of a new/reman transmission and use it as a replacement and then put a valve body back in that transmission later for install in another vehicle.

I'm really bugged by his message to you - some red flags come up.
IF he is going to replace the whole transmission for you and cover it under warranty, GREAT!!!
But make REALLY REALLY sure that's what's going on. Make sure if this is a warranty thing that you pay nothing for the transmission.
Because if he goes to Jeep and files the warranty "paperwork" stating the diagnosis was valve body, and then submits a claim to FCA for the transmission and labor - someone is going to pay and it likely won't be FCA.

Get things in writing, IMO. He's breaking procedure.

I'm with @berb on this - make that call.
