Truck tote securement

I have some of the medium Plano truck boxes that I intend to use in the JT for overlanding, camp and recovery supplies. Currently the issue I’m having is the tie down points on the truck bed are too low. What are some tie down/securement solutions you all have come up with so far?

Eventually they may be added. Seems to be a bit of overkill at the moment just to secure a couple boxes in place.

I kind of agree but you can buy individual panels and the other options seem to be rail or base, too high or too low.

I use one of these to secure my cases, each corner anchored to the existing lower D rings. Works great for me.

You can buy sheets of HDPE for much less than Molle panels and you can customize what attaches where.

It will give a cleaner look than something like plywood. Which is what I'd use, but I dont' care about those kinds of aesthetics.

I’m looking at installing some L-track in the bed, endless tie down points. Just need to get the material and some time off to do it.

Just that. When I put my 2 totes next to each other, doesn’t matter if it’s lengthwise or widthwise, the strap rides too low on the box due to where the tie downs are mounted on the bed. Over time and after bouncing around off road in the bed of the truck, the strap eventually ends up going under the tote.

Exactly this. Trying to figure out some sort of solution until I have the free funds to spring for molle panels.

Check out the bed boards people have created. Could use this to strap the tote closer to the tailgate.
