Hi all,

I've been looking at snatch straps and have narrowed it down to these two.

If anyone has any 1st hand experience with these products I'd appreciate it

Or if you have input on the qualty of customer support from these companies I'd like to hear it.

or finally if you have an alternative that you think is better, lets hear it.

i'm trying to stay below $100.

My needs are pretty minimal and both of these are probably overkill. We're talking about fire roads and beaches and maybe snow.

Thanks.

Whichever is more expensive/ better name brand recognition, ie; will impress your friends/ internet strangers when you tell them.

Srsly tho...
I bought the bigger HF snatch rope and will do everything I can to never have to use it. The thought of all the physics involved at the center of my expensive, daily driver, still under warranty work truck makes me shudder at the idea.

The winch, however...

Ah yes the old "I'm wrong so I'm going to deflect and just say the other guy is angry" trick.

again, literally nobody said they are used the same as a K-rope.
Ah yes, the old aggressive poster that is on every forum. I went through and looked at your history, you have a track record of doing this. At any rate, I never said anybody was using them the same. I warned the OP to not use them in the same way. Big difference. He was wondering which he should invest his money in so I threw my $.02 in because I own both. Pretty pathetic to get lambasted by some Internet commando over something as non confrontational as a discussion over recovery gear. Hopefully the snow melts or whatever or wherever the hell you live so you can get out from behind the keyboard and actually live life a little instead of being a douchebag on an Internet forum. ✌

resorting to name calling? Interesting, and far more "aggressive" than anything I've posted.

Aggressive? What did I say that was aggressive? That you shouldn't give advice on topics you aren't familiar with?

You consider that aggressive?

Thanks again for all the . . . spirited debate.

I bought the ARE snatch strap 30' x 2 7/8". I'm sure it will do fine and the price is right at $67. I'm sure it will meet my pretty modest needs.

I'm not interested in spending $200 on something better at this point. What motivated me to get something sooner rather than later was a fried got stuck in the snow in his minivan last weekend. Snow tires, its great in the snow, but we got over a foot of thick heavy stuff and he was high centered.

This is the same friend who has a JK out at Motec getting a LT1 and 8HP installed in it.
