Hello everyone! This isn't gonna be much of a build thread, more of a journal to keep track of what I've done, and what I want to do in the future. This truck will mostly just be a commuter, family vehicle, and part time kayak hauler. No hardcore wheeling planned, but might see some trails on vacations.

A few months ago I, like a lot of people, decided to take advantage of the crazy used car market. Traded in my 2020 F150 for way more than I paid for it on this 2021 Mojave in Granite Crystal Metallic. I miss the power of the 3.5 Ecoboost, but I love this Jeep so far. I've had a ton of XJ's and TJ's, and one JK. This is my first Jeep for a while and by far the nicest I've ever had.

First things first for mods, Jeep All-Weather floor mats, Mopar door sill guards, and a shorter black antenna. I also ordered a DeeZee bed mat and threw it in.

It also quickly became apparent that the rear flares were going to get sand blasted without some sort of protection from the tires, so I ordered some RokBlokz front and rear in the XL/Reg size.

I like the idea of a bed rack in the future possibly, to carry kayaks up high on trips and leave the bed open for luggage. So with that in mind, I got a bed cover that would work for that when the time comes. This is the Bak X4s, made right here in Springfield. Hard rolling, installed pretty easy and works great.

That brings us to today. I had these Diode Dynamics SS3's on my F150, removed them before I traded it in. Decided to throw them on the Gladiator so I ordered new brackets. They are the Pro level with DOT Fog lenses. These lights are amazingly bright, and get warm so they should clear themselves in the winter unlike the OEM LED headlights and fogs.

Also, from reading here, it seemed like the frame side rear LCA brackets are specially vulnerable on these trucks so I ordered the Rusty's skids to protect them. Like most, I couldn't get the front bolt to line up no matter how hard I tried. But they aren't going anywhere. If/when the LCA gets pulled, I'll elongate the hole and get them secured.

I would recommend this antenna from quadratec (https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/16-stubby-antenna-jeep-wrangler-jk-jl). I tried a cheap one from Amazon and the reception was terrible.
Thanks, that one looks pretty cool, way better than the short rubber ones. I already bought one off Amazon though. It's just about an inch higher than the Jeep and same metal/wire construction as the original, just shorter and black. No change in reception.
