I was just wondering if anyone had tried turbo charging the 3.6L Jeep engine. I know many have done engine swaps but this might also be an option, or not?
Ideas anyone?
To Summarize: it's an expensive option that will eventually give you issues for a few extra HP. Some feel it's worth it, most do not. Also generally considered to hurt the value of the vehicle if you ever plan to re-sell.
I figured this would be the case. It might be better to swap the engine for something like a small block Chevy. It would be more reliable and the expense probably similar unless you could find a used low miles engine.
I have a turbo diesel and as far as off-roading, turbo charging in my opinion is not a good choice when it comes to managing lag and surge and finessing your way through an obstacle.
