I don't think so. I've had it 6 weeks now and just crossed 900 miles. I initially thought it was the battery, but it tests fine. I'm more inclined to think it's the infotainment system now. I was disappointed that the cel went away before I could get back home and check it. Next time I will check it before I go to work.
I have not checked any connections. The vehicle has done this 3 times now. The first time at 470 miles, the third time at 900 miles, and the second time was some time in between. I may just have to schedule a visit to the dealer or wait until it breaks and stays broken.
I’d start with checking that every single fuse is seated tightly. Then drive it without any more changes. If it doesn’t fix it, and it’s brand new, I’d let the dealer fix it.
Dealer fixed mine when it was kicking shifter and other errors randomly at startup - they removed the glove box and did something with the CANbus star connectors. They never wrote it up, but I found evidence they had taken things apart, the glove box contents were rearranged, someone had been in the passenger seat, and other clues.
Glad they fixed it, but it would drive me nuts to not know the solution.
Yeah, I asked more than once, and the service guy said it's all on the work order............ uh, no, it wasn't. Don't know why it wasn't - why not list it and get paid for it.
Fuel system codes, it's staying in open loop. Perhaps due to the O2 sensor on the passenger side (bank 1 is on the right side)Another day, another two CEL codes.
I had similar codes when it misfired due to bad coil packs. Several codes that seemed to make no sense, and seemed unrelated and impossible. I had one code that said my o2 sensors were hooked up in reverse. Ridiculous. Replaced the bad coil packs, and no more problems of any kind. Some of these codes happen because the ecu assumes if one problem occurs, the other probably does as well.
I wouldn’t erase any codes. Just go to the dealer and have them fix it. It’s brand new. And the misfire codes will just return after you erase them. Because they’re happening again.
The O2 voltage high could indeed mean a rich condition, the other indicates there's a problem causing it to not go to closed loop.
I've driven about 300 of the 1300 miles with a CEL. I traded in a 2016 BMW that NEVER had any CELs, and now I have a Jeep with 1300 miles, and I've had a CEL lit up on my dash for about 25% of the time. It's maddening. I knew better than to buy a Jeep, but I couldn't help myself. I'm about to find a 10mm wrench here at work and disconnect the battery.
