I've heard the AUX battery failing can take out the radio, and IIRC I saw a report where it did the same thing to their radio.Well I also decided to buy a new main and aux battery as my JT is over 3 years old and I had that error code last week.
Felt good to do it at home in my own garage. It didn’t fix the screen issue but I didn’t think it would.
shout out to the [Banned Site] Jeep channel as his instructions were super precise and helpful. That’s all I read around here that he’s not very well awake – not sure why it it really doesn’t matter to me, but he was super helpful with his battery replacement guide video.
I broke down and decided to order another 7 inch old power you connect stereo unit. I thought of maybe going up to the 8.4 but I figured all I really use my stereo is for USB music and my phone $600 later and hopefully it’ll be here in the next week or so and I can fix this issue.
Something regarding voltage regulation and sensitive circuits.
But yeah, that radio is probably toast. Looks like the driver for the screen or the chipset for graphics got fried (probably undervoltage).
Did you ever hear back from Benny?
