When I plug in my iPhone the uconnect system recognizes the phone as an iPod and will not bring up CarPlay. I have switched cables, ports, reset radio, reset phone, tried a different phone even pulled radio and usb ports nothing will work. I’m at a loss and can’t seem to find a fix anywhere. Hopefully someone here has an answer. 2020 gladiator 8.4 uconnect BTW

What phone do you have and have you enabled Carplay on your phone (Settings>General>Carplay)?

IPhone 15 it should be. It was working fine up until yesterday
oh, that is weird. I thought you were always having this issue. I just use a wireless adapter for the most part don't have any issues. Maybe check and see if there are any updates. I know there was a recent software update to ios 17.5.1. You might Also check and see if you radio is out of date and if needs to be updated as well there are a couple threads on how to do it if it is. Here is the most recent it is in Post #74

Did you have an iOS update recently? If yes... Settings often change 'on their own' without you knowing it. Drives me crazy.

When was the last time you totally shut down (powered off) the phone?
Every once in a while, the phones need a reboot.

If you haven't had any updates recently... check to see if there are any updates.

No phone updates available. Does it no matter which iPhone I plug in. Rebooted both phones but to no avail

Try rebooting the head unit. Disconnect both batteries for about ten minutes. It will take up to 24 hours for normal operation to return.

Check to make sure your phone is still connected to the jeep….
If its not connected (look for your profile or in the Uconnect screen etc) - I doubt it’d work for a phone that’s not ‘connected’.
