Uconnect stuck in startup sequence and start/stop error showing

I’m having an issue that I’m hoping someone else has run into before. My entire Uconnect system gets stuck in a startup loop. Sometimes it’ll stay on for a few minutes, then shut down again and restart. When this happens, I can’t control the HVAC at all.

Along with that, I get an error related to the start/stop system, and my factory subwoofer makes a popping sound. One other weird thing I’ve noticed (and this always happens before everything starts acting up) is that the passenger-side blind spot indicator starts flashing. What makes that even stranger is that I have aftermarket taillights without the sensors installed, so those indicators have never actually worked for me.

The first time this happened, I checked that all the fuses were seated properly and disconnected the battery to reset everything. That seemed to fix it at the time. Now, about a month later, it’s doing the same thing again, and that “fix” isn’t working anymore.

Any ideas or similar experiences?

You may want to have your batteries checked out. If you can correct it for a while by disconnecting the batteries, I would start there. Could be just the IBS reset giving you some relief until one of your batteries loses it charge.

Main battery was checked and I was told it was good. I didn’t check the aux battery. I’m wondering if it’s the issue... been reading a lot about people bypassing it.

The story you were told about your main battery may not be true. Was the main battery removed from the truck to be tested? If it was left in the truck, did they isolate it from the Aux before testing? Did they even losd test it? I'm thinking that it wasn't tested properly. To test either battery, they need to be isolated and fully charged before testing.

Another thing someone else had done to correct the rebooting problem was to remove the connectors from the display unit and then plug it back in. Of course pulling the fuse for the radio would do the same thing, as long as the connection were solid to begin with. You would need to leave it disconnected for a few minutes I would think.

I am curious about the popping sound in the subwoofer. Would seem to indicate some power spike?
