I see now they have a full length rear underseat storage unit that's lockable for $449; before I drop the hammer, are there better options and/or pricing elsewhere?
cheers y'all

Thanks for that lead. Looks like an easier method to get in with one handle/lock and the Tuffy with 2. I saw on Tuffy that I can get 10% off so we’re talking $150 delta….hmmm.
The JCR version doesn’t look lockable and in any case, I think I’d prefer a proper lid on it anyway.

I have been looking for a way to lock up my recovery gear and other items under the rear seat as well. I did not know Tuffy had an option. I have their console safe and I am satisfied with it.

I was looking into 813 Fabrications version. https://www.813fabrication.com/under-seat-bin

I like the idea of just being able to lock the seats down, which should have come from the factory like the seat backs. I have the doors off for most of the summer and I know nothing is 100% going to stop someone if they really want in, I just want to keep the opportunistic ones out. There are some DIY options for locking the rear seats that I was looking into:

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...t-bottom-or-locking-under-seat-storage.37234/

Let us know what you decide and how you like it. I will be watching as I'm still trying to decide which route I will go.

Hey Club, just saw in your last post that it looks like you prefer a locking lid so take my post as just some additional options since they don't have an actual lid but use the seats as the lid.

Copy that. I did go ahead with the Tuffy and will advise once it arrives; install, finish, etc.
Thanks!

When I was looking at locking storage at the beginning of this year I really wished tuffy had the full length version. I ended up going with diabolical for twice the price with the only real benefit of the diabolical is having more room and being able to to open the specific side without lifting up both seats. Subbed this thread to see how well this option turns out. Looks promising.

That Diabolical looks cool but given the price, the Tuffy would have been my pick anyway. I don’t think I need the benefits it represents tbh as this will serve mainly as a ‘trunk’ that is somewhat secure. I’ll not be going into the storage very often.

I have two car seats in my Jeep 24/7 so I can’t lift the seat bottoms without removing the car seats…Wish someone would come out with a drawer style storage solution!

Yes. However, I bought it from somewhere other than Tuffy; their wait time was too long. Found it for the same price elsewhere.
Honestly, between work and the weather, I've not been able to mess with it but did install it easily. It's a quality piece and I'd buy it again.

Same here. I only have one car seat and its a giant PIA to get to the storage. Save grace is that I can get to that side from the opposite end.

I remember reading someone's post that removed that entire plastic box completely. Saved having to lift up the seats.
