Updated recommendations for LED bulbs in halogen housing

This is the problem with post like these. You're comparing "output" by showing head-on shots of the Jeep (which btw clearly show a ton of glare) instead of the actual output shining against a wall. The only thing these pictures show is that you turned your driving lights into flood lights.

Output should be demonstrated in a similar fashion to how @hakoda did:

This is the problem with post like these. You're comparing "output" by showing head-on shots of the Jeep (which btw clearly show a ton of glare) instead of the actual output shining against a wall. The only thing these pictures show is that you turned your driving lights into flood lights.

Did mine yesterday and love it...went with Auxito for headlights and "Alla" fogs which a lot of folks around here are already using with good results. Very happy with the light output. No flickering, etc and 100% plug-n-play.

How bright are the fogs compared to the OEM halogens?

Living in snow country, I have little interest in LED headlights in general. I find the light color makes it harder to see in heavy snow, and the classic Jeep grille/headlight placement just catches snow and sleet that doesn't melt without heat of some sort (like from the stock halogens). The downside is of course the halogen headlights suck in light output, which is why I have an LED lightbar that can be triggered with the high beams. If the fogs can give me a noticeable increase in light without making me (more of) an a-hole, I'd consider sacrificing them in snow.

I have had SV4 bulbs in both my regular headlights and fogs for over 2 years and they work great. It is important to install and adjust them right but when done they work great!!

I didn't have the problem of snow accumulating around the headlight, though it was a very light snow year (Chicago area)

Fogs definitely seem brighter than stock but I don't have any real measurement to go from. I drove in pretty heavy snow through PA and OH and I didn't find visibility any more or less of a challenge

I'll get the same pic from the same spot in my wife's atlas with stock LEDs. Not going to be an exact comparison but I figure if it's similar, either my swap is not really a significant change in beam/scatter, OR stock atlas LEDs have been been problematic for years...

If I get really curious (and find freetime), i still have the halogen bulbs. Might put them back and get a picture there. Anyone making the swap, would be great to see your before/after on a wall

Switched to LEDs about 6 months ago after halogen DRL burned out. Figured I'd switch them all, was about 120 bucks iirc. Work great no issues at all. Nobody has flashed me. Brake lights I couldn't switch to LEDs because the truck computer kept saying the rear turn signals were out. So kept those original. Here's the rest of what I have now

Just got the Headlights, fogs and DRLs as mentioned in your post. Was between delight and auxito but Amazon was running a better Easter sale on the Sealight Did the headlights last night and am very impressed. Noticed the new led beam was about 3 inches lower than the oem halogen beam. Going to install the drls and fog lights tonight and do the 25/3 method on headlights for any adjustments. Appreciate the recommendation!
