I installed "Gladiator" on my tailgate and the G was damaged. Urban sent me a new letter free of charge, however; no instructions on how to remove the existing. tried my heat gun but the letters are really on there. it will not budge and I have a plastic pry tool. Any suggestions?

Get some fishing line and saw through the adhesive backing on the letter. Get it to a point where you can use your pry tool and fingers to grab the letter and pull it off. Then use your thumb to sort of roll off the rest of the adhesive. You’ll be left with some leftover material on the tailgate, just use some wd40 and a rag and it will come off.

This stuff works great when combined with the fishing line method.

Drizzle a little around the edges of the letter before starting, and re-apply as you go. Then use it to remove ant adhesive residue.

Be very careful if using the pry tool or grabbing the letter and pulling it by one side only. You can end up denting the metal.
