How's it look out there? Thinkin about hitting it up this weekend which would be a long drive.

Conditions? Flooded, overgrown, overcrowded? Perfect?
Recent pics?

Just coming back from doing Schnebly Hill Rd. and New River Trail in AZ and Jonesin' to get back out on the rocky trail.

LMK, thanks!

It's normally crowded this time of year but they keep the trail up pretty well. It can be muddy depending on the weather but it's been pretty dry the past few weeks. The amount of people up there has kept me away the past few years and inexperienced people breaking down which causes delays

Why is this?
It's above my skill level and my tolerance for potential body damage is low.

Daniel is the hardest trail there. After the gatekeeper rock there is a tricky eroded climb. If you don't hit it right you can slide into the embankment.

Dicky bell is the badge of honor trail but it's not bad at all except for one rocky hill climb section which was easy.

Dickey bells a fun run but you can get up Daniel without getting body damage, it can happen though. I've went up it twice, once with my JKU and once in my XJ, never got any body damage, bottomed out the XJ a few times but made it. My father in law has climbed it numerous times in a barely lifted Suzuki Samurai.

Was there last weekend surprisingly very little crowd. I guess everybody went to the beach. It was very dry and awesome for traction. Did the front side of Daniel and the hard line up the rock garden near the top.

You shoulda hit Broken Arrow in Sedona. Much more fun. And there’s a ton of rocky trails on the west side of I-17 by New River Trail. That’s my backyard LOL
Honestly, Schnebly Hill Rd was like having to chew bubble gum too long. My passengers enjoyed the view for the most part especially where the trail leans towards the canyon at about 15°, lol.
Had I known about broken arrow I maybe did that instead though wife really liked the decent into Sedona on the side of a mountain and wasn't nearly as perturbed about a trail that needs a lot of clean up.

We did do the west side. A lot of it along the gasline road (if that's what you're referring to; off the trail proper.) There was only one spot I wasn't willing to try and that was within ¼ mi from the blacktop on the right.

Did you get any body damage?
No not there. I did manage to get into the door jam on a tree root on the other side of Daniel.

Been up the ledges a couple times now with no spotters. I am running the Oracle flush taillights after smashing one at Windrock park.

February, according to the Missus.

And she might let me bring my own Jeep this time, lol!
You'll probably be fine on Daniel. I'm new to the four-wheel scene and I have a MOAB trip coming up so I'm not trying to break anything lol.

out at uwharrie now trails dusty you can run them all. the front side of Daniel is not good on any gladiator unless on 4 inch lift and 37s locked front and rear.the overhang past the rear tires is your enemy. the gate keeper is a rock ledge about 5 foot tall.
font side of dicky bell has more erosion than it did 2 months ago doable but a good spot or lockers needed

Thanks! Trip was postponed until October when we'll have more time.
Now I'm thinking about hitting Uwharrie, Gulches, and Beasley in one trip.
Has anyone done this trifecta? They don't seem too far apart.

I was out there today to. Dicky bell was definitely different than last time. Poor dude got run over by a family member on Daniel today after they lost control of the vehicle. Guy is fine but had to go to the hospital.
