Value of Body-Color Freedom Top 3-Piece Hard Top

Hello everyone!

I recently put a soft top on my 2022 Gladiator High Altitude and am thinking about selling the Sting Gray Body-Color Freedom Top 3-Piece Hard Top that came on originally.
It only has 1,000 miles on it and is in perfect condition.

How much could I ask for that top?

selling body colored hardtops for a good number are a difficult proposition. In theory they are valuable to the perfect buyer, but think how difficult finding the perfect buyer is going to be.

Someone who bought a sting grey with a softtop but wanted a dual tops with colored hardtop. That's your perfect buyer. Anything short of that you're dropping your price to try to convince a non-perfect buyer to become interested. Sting grey softtop owner who wants a hardtop but not thrilled with having dual tops. Sting grey with black hardtop who wanted color. Sure, it's an upgrade for them, but not nearly as valuable. Any other color in either of the above situations, now there's a paint shop involved.

To the perfect person it may be worth over 3k. but honestly if you want to sell it quick you're probably better offering it in trade. You color hardtop for their black hardtop plus $500. Then you can turn around and sell that black hardtop to a much wider audience.

Interesting question. I was constantly scanning lots online while waiting for my order unit. I absolutely did NOT want body color top, but it seems dealers either love that option, or it's what the factory was sending them. I prefer the black flares as well, but have gotten used to what I have.

If dealers in your area had/have the same type of stock they did around here, might not be too many takers out there.

No matter how minty, it is still a used item. What @Rahkmalla said is spot on in finding the perfect buyer. People want a deal.

At $2900 new as an option, I would suggest starting at maybe $2k if you want to play the long game or price it at $1500 or lower for a short sale.
