KBB? They miss by thousands as far as their buy it now offers. Dealer trade offers are better. If you just ask KBB for the trade value they are pretty close but their buy offers are insulting
What I can say is that KBB is going to be more accurate than this forum thread (or any forum thread for that matter).

IDK when the last time you tried it was, but last year I went through the process and they were within $500 of each other, 3 online offers and two in town in person.
KBB is two different things -
They have the "what is my trade-in worth"
and
"We'll BUY your car"

The trade-in numbers aren't bad - although dealers pretty much ignore KBB and use NADA and other tools, the numbers are really very close to reality.
However..........
When they offer to buy your vehicle, it's actually worse than what I can get from local dealers - either an outright buy or trade.

Last time - this spring (Feb/March 2025)
Before that was June 2022

Both times their offers to buy were horrible.
Their "what is it worth" numbers were maybe optimistic, but generally in the ballpark.

Carvana, CarMax and KBB "we will buy your Jeep now, here's our number" were ALL below what the dealer offered me on trade!
Driveway "we will buy your Jeep now" number was higher than any of the others by thousands and only above the dealer by 500.

So the "what's it worth on trade in my area" - decent.
We'll buy your car/truck - terrible numbers. I could do much better on my own locally.

Yes - for their "what's it worth" numbers, yes.

I was referring to their offers to buy - those are horrible.

But for "what's it worth, owner selling" or "what's it worth, dealer trade-in" - they are generally pretty good.

Dude, do you know how long I re-read that sentence trying to figure out what the hell "cowbelling" was before finally giving up and scrolling down? Only to read this?

There's 5 mins of my life I'll never get back.

The AEV package is meaningless on a trade. There is no wholesale adder for it.
The Manheim wholesale on that truck with the mileage is $31,200. With slow Gladiator sales and the discounts available on new ones you may get further lowballed

Not one for towing for sure. It would run hot.
I don't get the showing like that wanting a value instead of clean so it can be seen
[/QUOTE]

WRONG. Does NOT run hot. I towed 3 1/2hr Saturday in 89 deg temps to Rush offroad, then home 3 1/2hr in around 97 deg temps. Coolant ran around 211 degrees, oil ran around 218 degrees, and the transmission ran at 197 degrees.

As far as it needing washed. Sorry, thought I'd post a picture showing that this was NOT a mall crawler.

Thanks to the guys that posted helpful information. I wasn't looking for an exact price obviously. Just kind of an idea of where to start.

Kicking around the idea of selling my 21 JTR AEV.

The truck has 57k miles. Could use new tires. But otherwise it's perfect. Figured I'd pull the RCV's and sell them separately.

I'm curious to what it's worth. I have no idea where to start on price. The truck sticker new was $75k. I didn't pay that. I bout it use with 33k miles.

I would say its probably worth at least 5500 and that will get you a down payment on another one.
