I end up speaking very loudly when on my phone and quite frankly can give me a bit of a headache. Has anyone tried a solution where you don't have to talk so loudly?

get ... what?? Damn thing must've disconnected, lol.

Are you saying the factory setup sucks? I would've assumed it came with a good mic designed for picking up your voice even without doors, but maybe that's a pipe dream?

Maybe have it checked out. I use mine all the time and have no problems and don't need to speak very loud. I even have the soft top and not having much issues talking to people.

ive even had conversations with the doors off, and just the safari top on without any issue. I actually find it harder to hear the people im talking to, than they do to hear me.

OP, like another use said Id bring it up with your dealer.

I don't have my JT yet, but my JL with the premium soft top is un-useable on the highway. I bought a BlueParrot headset and it's been REALLY good. The only issue I have is the Uconnect BT tries to "take over" sometimes and I have to switch it back to the headset.

I wonder if it has something to do with excess tire noise. The OP seems to have pretty meaty tires in his showcase picture, and you have a rubicon listed in your bio..

I have oem tread duelers and have zero issues, and that even with almost no hearing left in my right ear.

makes me wonder

The olde schoole bluetooth headsets can sound really good in a loud car.

I had a Jawbone when I had my Subaru STi and people said there was absolutely no background noise. I suspect they aren't even in business anymore. But you can probably try a Jabra from Amazon without any risk.

I have K02's on another vehicle and those are LOUD compared to the Milestar Patagonia on my JEEP. As good as the K02's may be, I don't think I will ever purchase again for this reason.

No problems talking and hearing in my JT Willys at highway speed, and I'm running the stock M/T's that everyone seems to think are really loud (which they aren't compared to driving older Jeeps). My ragtop YJ on the other hand? Impossible to talk or hear using the Blue Tooth at any speed unless I'm at a stop.
Coming from my XJ and YJ, the JT is like a library with regards to road noise.

No issues at all with the factory setup even with my soft top. My wife doesn't even realize I'm cruising 70mph when I talk to her.

I had to have her drive it and call me so I could hear it for myself because I couldn't believe it was that clear.

I have a softtop with the factory Willys M/T tires and I don't have an issue with this.

You may have a different problem and should talk to the dealer.
