I have a current shut on my batteries. It records voltage and current. Minus is out of batteries and plus is into batteries. During the ESS event the current is -25A that is stereo on a/c off. So, the time the engine is shut off the current is -25A. After starting the current is +50A for less than 3 sec then down to +5 amps. I never see more than +20A for any length of time. The Jeep is cautious when charging batteries. First picture is two ESS starts, next cold start and longer view of cold start.
