All of a sudden when I went to use my Map application the volume is only coming out of my left door speaker, not the whole system. With the road noise I cannot hear the directions. I tried my wife’s IPhone and same issue. I am using Apple Maps. Any ideas?

Update: all speakers will work as long as the phone is not plugged into the Jeep. Something has changed.
The dealership did update the PCM recently so I don’t know if that could have caused it.

I found you need to adjust the volume when it’s announcing directions (you have a short window to do it each time)
I had had this issue and finally one day I figured it out. Very frustrating!

No, that’s not the issue. Just played with it again and found out all speakers will work as long as the phone is not plugged in. Something has changed because it used to work with it plugged in.

Possibly the cable? Try a different cable or try connecting with Bluetooth and see if speakers still won't work connected to the phone.

If you have multiple USB Media ports (my Jeep's options gave me one on dash and one inside center console), try using the other one and see if you get the same results.

That's normal in my experience. When using AA/CarPlay, music will be from every speaker, nav will only be from the driver's side. If it's not plugged in, it's not using AA/CarPlay and will function over bluetooth differently.

You can increase the nav volume independent of the music volume. Give that a shot.

Carplay is programmed to give direcitions out of the driver side front speaker only. That's just how it works. I believe the idea is that the driver is the one who needs to hear it, so why make everyone else listen to it?

If you're listening to the radio it will keep playing through the other speakers (I think, it's been a minute since I used it).

How do you increase the nav volume? I’ve been through the settings before and haven’t seen that option.

Yes I know but now it’s only coming out of the door speaker and the volume is low, it was not like that previously.

I tried a different cable and also tried the port in the console, no luck.

That's what I'm saying, the directions are only supposed to come out of the front driver door speaker, no where else. To turn that volume up you have to turn the volume knob while the directions are speaking.

If you want directions out of all speakers then you have to connect via bluetooth and not a cable.

When the NAV is actually speaking (giving directions, that's when you adjust the volume.
