Lol, yeah, I'm sure they did. It's just a limitation on Android Auto/Apple CarPlay since it requires so much data transfer. Bluetooth can't handle all that bandwidth.I bet FCA never considered that.
I guess that makes it a lot less of a big deal to me since at least we'll still have the Android Auto work with plugging in. And the JT having an actual USB-C port in the car is pretty amazing. That's great for faster charging for Android phones and data transfer. I can deal with the loss of having two phones connected over Bluetooth and not as responsive interface in my 2020 JT.
