I'd like to see just for reference. I trust your work and thoughts on it, but I'd be interested in seeing that if it's not an out of your way thing.
When you put any preload on a bearing, it had better be round.
Realy hard to see in a pic and can't see it if pointed strait on.

The wear marks are thinner in some areas leading me to think the housing bores aren't round OR maybe the expansion rates in the casting is different as temps change?

I can tell - and if I can easily see it in the pics, it must have been pretty bad. Something to watch out for these days, I guess.......... always wondered about the right axle leak issue if there wasn't something about the bore in the tube.

I haven't seen a single axle seal leak on a JL or JT, but I see these wear patterns on all the ones II have changed the gears on.
