So as the title states, I want to add as near a factory (or better) setup to the bed. I am not an electrical guy and I know there aren't really any kits out there. Is there a write up anywhere that I could go by?
Basically I need:
Parts list, wire gauge/ft, switch, inverter and whatever else I'd need. Can anyone point me in the right direction? :)

Eta- mostly will be used to charge batteries, not power tools or anything. Maybe a fridge WAY down the line.

Do you want DC (12V) back there, or AC (120V)?
I'll assume AC, since you mentioned needing an inverter.
I'd suggest that you keep the inverter close to the battery, and basically run an extension cord from the inverter to the outlet in the box. By doing this, you keep the length of the high-current DC circuit to a minimum. For 400W AC power, which isn't a lot when you start talking refrigerators, you'll need an inverter that will take a 40A DC input, which will need an 8AWG wire. The AC side will only need a 14AWG SO cord (weather-proof extension cord.)

see, my eyes start crossing with all this. that is why I said I want a write up that says buy:
1. x
2. y
3. z
etc
I only mentioned an inverter because every other thread i read about it mentioned needing one.
If I could start with a near mirror version of the factory setup that would be a start I suppose.

OK, I understand.
So,
Do you want 12V Jeep power, or 120V like you have in your house?

There is an abundance of 12v writeups on the forums but it sounds like the OP and myself want 120v.

Basically we want this in the back of our Gladiator...

Hmm
Basically my idea was to charge batteries for gopro, small hand tool batteries, kinda like a work station. Not a hair dryer or anything. What would be super cool would be an outlet(s) but also some USB sections etc. I guess maybe similar to what is inside the truck.
I admit I'm doing it backwards. I'm not saying "gee I wish I had an outlet for ______." I'm thinking "an outlet would be pretty handy if I wanted to plug stuff in." Lol

Something else to think on running power. What your planning on powering. Many things run a transformer that drops the voltage from 110-125 AC to 12-24 v DC (battery charger's) portable fridge/freezer's too.

You will be FAR better off with a power bank then with the added benefit of portability.

Got my parts from moparoneonline.com this parts list was posted by someone in the forums. I used it to get my parts and install it. You have to activate the plug using a Tazer JL mini the other brands don't seem to be able to activate it. it will power simple things but nothing with a motor, a vacuum won't work. a radio or lamp works fine, Traeger grill should work, maybe a crock pot, griddle etc. As long as you already have the inverter with a plug in the back this parts list should give you what you need.
