So I just had a local shop install Katzkin covers on my front seats and now I have four warning lights on. The lights are drivers seatbelt, airbag, collision light and cruise control light. The shop said this was known to happen on newer vehicles and he was not able to clear it on his scanner. The Jeep dealership said it may take three to five days for the scan. Does this sound right? Has anyone else had this issue after seats have been removed? I took my seats out when I bought the truck to spray line the floors and had no issue when they were reinstalled. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

More than likely going to be a bunch of SRS codes stored. Have a scan tool like JScan or similar?

I would look at where the seat connector hookup and check them to see if they bent some pin or not fully seated.

They started it with the seat unhooked. Clear the codes and it should be good.

It’s quite easy to pull on the cables that attach to the underside of the seat when removing the seats. Same thing happened to me, and a wire had pulled slightly out of a harness under the plastic trim where the B-pillar meets the floor.

I happened to be at the dealer for something and mentioned it, and they fixed it as a free service. Seatbelt warranty is lifetime IIUC, so you might also have good luck. My dealer didn’t mention my obvious Armorlite and Seat Jacker mods

Seat Jacker mods
How do you like the seat jacker?

Just getting used to my JTRD and wishing I could raise the front of the seat without raising the back. Seat Jacker is just a little overpriced for what they are so I haven't tried them out yet.

They were a game changer for me. My knees no longer get fatigued and ache on long drives.

Yeah alright, I just ordered a set for both front seats.

I haven't done any long trips with the vehicle yet but on short trips, I already can tell that the flat seat position is a problem.

I'm just stacking parts up to the ceiling in my office at the moment.. Trying to keep my promise to my wife that I won't modify the new vehicle until I list the old one for sale. lol

Game changer for me too. Pricy yes, but well-made, easy to install, totally solved the problem for me. Worth it. I only got one for the driver seat, as I've noticed I move around enough when riding passenger that there isn't a problem for me, or my shorter GF. Speaking of her, she still has enough adjustment in the seat to fit with the seat jacker.

I also got their MOLLE plate which is very handy - mounted a fire extinguisher to the front, and my VHF/UHF radio base unit to the back

My passenger seat is usually just a snack seat because my wife likes to sit in the back with my son who's still in a car seat.

It just bugs me when things aren't symmetrical. lol

I opted to not get the molle. Maybe I'll regret that in the future but in my last jeep, I liked to shove a compressed rain shell jacket and a couple hammocks under the front seats.

If it’s headroom you need, you can pick up quite a bit by removing the plastic trim from the soundbar.

That’s where I keep hitting my head. I would love to lower my drivers side seat, or remove that trim, but what’s it look like underneath?
